An incident involving a boat load of trash dumped into the ocean in Boca Raton may have been a case of boaters trying to hide evidence.

Organizers of Sunday's "Boca Bash" say the boaters were apparently paranoid about getting pulled over and that the annual event does not condone drinking and operating a vessel.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating after video went viral of people dumping two bins worth of trash from a boat after leaving the event.

Under Florida law, those illegally dumping more than 15 pounds of waste into a waterway could face a first-degree misdemeanor.

According to reports, twenty people attending the event have been arrested for boating under the influence, including at least one man who was caught with cocaine on his vessel.
