Martin County Sheriff's officials are warning about the crime of "bank jugging."

A woman who had walked out of a bank in Palm City noticed her tire was getting low and when she went to put air in the tire at a nearby Wawa, two men from Colombia allegedly robbed her.

It's believed 39-year old Adrian Felipe Perez-Rocha and 27-year old Bryan Cardenas-Moreno punctured the tire and then followed her to the gas station.

They were later arrested along I-95. The woman's purse, cell phone and bank envelope full of cash were found in the suspects' vehicle.

Deputies say this method of "bank jugging" is often used by a South American theft group that has infiltrated the U.S. and is actively recruiting members around the state.
