A restaurant manager in Michigan was hospitalized after she was attacked by an irate customerSusan Rains told WJBK that a group of customers at a seafood restaurant in Livonia was upset with their order, so she offered to take the food off their bill.

However, she did not remove the charge for their drinks, which angered the customers even more as they refused to pay.

While the group argued with Rains, one member of the group, later identified as Deshaun Kelly, assaulted her.

"He dumped the drink on me first, and then he smashed it on the side of my head," Rains told the news station. "Then he just punched me in the eye, and I fell to the ground."

The group then left the restaurant.

"I was told… they just kind of walked over and around me like I was a piece of garbage," Rains said.

Rains was rushed to the hospital with a concussion and a black eye. Doctors had to use staples to close the wound on her head.

"I've been to two hospitals, and too many doctors, counselors and what not that I can't even count," she said.

Kelly was identified using facial recognition software and arrested a week later. He was charged with assault

Rains continues to recover from her injuries and is preparing to return to work.
