Giving Up Fatty Foods Is Similar To... Drug Withdrawl?!

Giving up burgers, fries, and milkshakes isn't easy. In fact, it could produce the same withdrawal effects as giving up drugs!

University of Michigan researchers questioned 231 adults about how they felt after cutting back on processed foods during the year-long experiment.

Participants reported feeling sad, bad-tempered, tired, and having cravings during the first two to five days after giving up junk food.

Those side-effects subsided after the first five days, which is what researchers say is the same thing that happens to drug addicts.
