A University of Central Florida football player is facing a charge of sexual battery.
An arrest report from UCF police says that 18-year-old freshman linebacker Demetreius Mayes Jr. was arrested Tuesday.
He is accused of raping an intoxicated female student inside a campus dorm room.
According to the report, Mayes' teammates were banging on the dorm room door, urging him not to have sex with the victim because they realized she was drunk.
