Florida Sales Tax Holiday Begins Friday!

Florida parents and students shopping for the new school year can enjoy a tax break this weekend.

The tax holiday kicks off Friday at 12:01 a.m. and will last the entire weekend (through Sunday).

Shoppers won't have to pay state or local sales taxes on clothes worth $60 or less and on school supplies worth $15 or less.

The sales tax is slightly slimmer than it was a few years ago.

In 2014 and 2015, shoppers could buy clothing worth up to $100 without paying taxes.
