China Will Raise Taxes On Imported Goods If U.S. Penalizes Imports

China is set to impose tariffs on nearly $60-billion worth of goods if the United States makes the decision to place more penalties on Chinese imports.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce released a statement online declaring it would tax four lists of goods, including agricultural-related products and various metals.

The import taxes would range in rates from 5-to-25 percent.

The Chinese say implementation date is subject to the actions of the U.S.
