The Florida Democratic Party has a new chairwoman.
Palm Beach County Democratic Chair Terrie Rizzo was elected Saturday at a gathering in Orlando.
Rizzo, 70, who lives west of Boynton Beach, takes over after former party leader Stephen Bittel abruptly stepped down last month after reports that he created a hostile work environment for women -- including an environment with demeaning comments, leering and a breast-shaped stress ball in his desk, according to Politico
Rizzo beat out Brevard County Democratic chairwoman Stacey Patel.
