Fort Lauderdale police are investigating the case of a 15-year-old who was shot while she slept.
The gunfire was reported just after midnight Monday.
Family members say the teen was sleeping in her mother’s bed at the home near NW 16th Street and 24th Avenue when it was hit by bullets. Two other homes were also struck.
The teen was taken to the hospital, with reported leg injuries. Her current condition is unknown at this time.
Officials have not released any information yet in this case.
