Stetson Univ. Freshman Accused Of Threatening To "Bomb," "Gas" Campus

A Florida college student is accused of making threats to "bomb" or "gas" his school's campus via Snapchat.

DeLand police arrested 18-year-old Stetson University student Griffin Powell on Sunday. He has since been released from jail.

Authorities say that threats were specific enough to raise concern among them.

Powell, a freshman at Stetson, is charged with threatening to discharge a destructive device.

An investigation into the incident continues.
