Dolphins' Jarvis Landry Being Investigated In Battery Case

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry is under investigation for battery.

The investigation stems from an incident that allegedly occurred earlier this year at Landry's Fort Lauderdale apartment.

The investigation allegedly involves Landry's girlfriend, who the four-year NFL vet has openly been in a paternity court case in Broward with.

According to the report, the victim is not cooperating with law enforcement officials.

Ron Ishoy, spokesperson for the Broward State Attorney's Office, says Fort Lauderdale Police initiated the investigation against Landry.

The case has been handed over to the Broward County State Attorney's Office, but a decision on possible charges is not expected to come this week.

With his current contract set to end after the 2017 season, Landry has been looking to receive a new deal from the Dolphins. The receiver says he will end negotiations with the team once the season starts.

Landry has been a star for the Dolphins since being drafted in 2014, posting over 1,000 yards receiving the last two seasons with 14 total touchdowns.
