A Florida babysitter is accused of twisting a 3-year-old boy's arm so badly that she broke it in three places, investigators say.
Hailee Howell, 21, of Daytona Beach, was arrested Friday and charged with aggravated child abuse.
After picking her son up from Howell's apartment Friday, the victim's mother said she found his arm was hurt. Two bones were completely broken and needed to be set. A third was fractured, according to an affidavit.
The boy told his mother, and investigators, Howell twisted his arm and hit him with a spatula because he wet himself.
Howell denies the claims, according to her arrest affidavit, saying the abuse must have taken place elsewhere.
Investigators say they spoke to the victims two brothers, ages 7 and 8, who were present during the ordeal. The two boys told similar stories of abuse, police say.
She remains in jail on $10,000 bond. In court, a judge told Howell that is she does make bond, she will have no contact with the victim or his family.
