In the past week, the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF) has been successful in making five arrests for human trafficking. HTTF worked alongside the City of Miami Beach Police Department, City of Miami Police Department and the Miami-Dade Police Department in making these arrests.
Victims including a 16-year-old and a young mother with an infant child have been rescued.
A press conference Thursday to discuss the area's recent arrests.
The State Attorney's Office credits the collaboration of the forces and having officers from the aforementioned departments embedded in the SAO’s Human Trafficking Task Force for their success in detaining responsible individuals.
