Do members of the jury deserve more $$$?
The jury is out on possibly increasing jury duty pay. When state lawmakers officially come back to work tomorrow, a proposal to increase the amount Floridians get paid to sit on a jury will be among the bills to be considered.
Right now, the pay is $15 per day. The proposal would raise that to about $65 per day, and for those serving more than 10 days, the pay would be almost $100 daily.
The money is paid to those who are not regularly employed or who don't get paid from their jobs while on jury duty.
