Superintendent: Gender Neutral Bathrooms Continue in Broward County Public Schools

The White House rolled back guidelines that allowed transgender students to use the bathroom of their choice.  Thursday, Broward County Public Schools Superintendent, Robert Runcie, said the district was already ahead of the game.

"Long before the federal guidance was issued in May 2016, our schools had and continue to have gender neutral bathrooms for all students," said Supt. Runcie.

Under the district's existing guidelines, he says it's a situational basis with transgender students, that's discussed with teachers, parents and the student.
