Gas Prices Are Going Up

Hope you've enjoyed the cheap gas prices...because they're going away. Allison Mac of GasBuddy.com says prices in Miami already had a one-day-jump of 8 cents a gallon, and it's only going to get worse. She cites the price of oil being up $10 per barrel over last year, and refineries switching to the Summer blends which are more expensive to produce as primary drivers of the increase. She also says that any world event which interrupts the flow of oil on world markets could make prices increase even more. Ms. Mac says we're likely to see peak prices in time for Memorial Day Weekend. And they could be as high as $3 a gallon just in time for Summer. But, she says, in Miami prices vary widely so it pays to shop around, and that the most convenient gas station may not necessarily have the best price. For more information, click here
