Investigators Probe Plane Flying Near Air Force One Over FL

Federal investigators are looking into whether a private plane flew too close to Air Force One during President Trump's first trip to Palm Beach as president.  A private aircraft flew within two miles of Air Force One as it was preparing to land at Palm Beach International Airport last weekend, according to a Bloomberg report.

The proximity of the planes would be a violation of Federal Aviation Administration rules for the distance other pilots must remain from Air Force One.  The federal government implements tight flight restrictions at all Palm Beach and Treasure Coast airports whenever the President is in South Florida.

Trump is expected to return this weekend with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visiting Mar-a-Lago and playing golf.
